PRAIA DA TOCHA (PORTUGAL)

PRAIA DA TOCHA
N 40.32864; W 8.84384

The small fishing village of Tocha became the second half of the century. XX in a busy seaside resort, without however losing its identity. On the beach, you can still find the typical wooden haystacks on piles, built by fishermen to store their utensils and which, now restored, are nice holiday homes.
Surrounded by preserved dunes, Praia da Tocha has a huge golden sand that stretches northwards towards the desert and almost wild Praia do Palheirão. The sea with strong waves offers excellent conditions for surfing and bodyboarding.
